Wide shot of the UTC Library Studio, group of students at computers

Introduction

We discuss how the partnership between the Library Studio and the Writing Program began, what these partnerships look like, and how the institutional context of UTC affects the partnership. We provide a timeline detailing WPA work, librarian work, and partnership work as the partnership developed from 2016–2021.

Things We Found

We provide findings from our surveys and interviews about the multimodal projects and their integration into the Writing Program. Faculty discuss their experiences with the Studio, and we reflect on how these findings influenced the partnership as it progressed.

Things We Learned

While this partnership is still very active and evolving, creating this webtext has provided us opportunities to reflect on our work. We discuss what we've learned and offer strategies for others working to develop a writing program/library partnership.
