The map is a narrative ... in which every visual feature is related to one of the arguments... (Bolter, 2001 50)

Does the map 'dictate' the experience of the journey through the text? Does it allow the reader to orient herself in the textual space? Both? Does my decision to use a map in this project limit or expand its narrative possibilities?
