"Writing in the Hivemind" is perhaps the most interesting case of space production mentioned here. Its method is unique and worth exploring. I preface this quote in this way to highlight that this is a criticism, but still seems relevant to the question of mapping one's hypertext.

To a large extent, our understanding of collaboration remains at the level of co-labor; more than one person working together toward a shared task. Innovation is encouraged but only en route to an assumed product; the resultant look and feel of the final product remain something more or less anticipated, and thus fixed. (Byrd and Owens 48)

...and thus mappable.
