Link
A link is used to move you from one text or file to another or to another point within the current file. Text links are typically represented in browsers as blue, underlined words. However, you can customize the look of your text links by changing the preferences in your browser. For instance, you can change link colors and speficy whether or not you want links to be underlined.
Links can also be represented by icons, buttons, or other graphics, as is the case with the "overview" and "comment" buttons.
Depending on your browser, your mouse cursor usually changes shape (often to a hand) when you move the mouse over a link.
Typically, a link turns purple once you've clicked on it. Again, however, you can customize this in your browser.
