About Mike Jackman

I'm a writer and Ph.D. candidate in Rhetoric and Composition at the University of Louisville. My research interests include hypertext theory and genres, computers and composition, WAC, and creative writing and composition.

I have taught freshman comp and business writing in the English Computer Lab run by Dr. Pamela Takayoshi. In these classes I incorporated synchronous and asynchronous conversation. I am also designing an online experimental creative writing class, to be taught in Spring 1997.

I also help administer the University of Louisville WR (Writing/Reading) Program, coordinated by N.C.T.E. "Best Book" Award Winner Dr. Geoffrey Cross (for Collaboration and Conflict). Our office has recently gone Online.

I have consulted on web design for artist Mario Muller and the Kentucky Center for the Arts, and am in the process of designing the web site for Kentucky's Stage One theatre company.
